I've been listening to analyses of the music of Star Trek. There's a tune (or cue) in the background that must be in other episodes. But considering it's a third-season episode, I'm not that familiar with it. Maybe from "The Paradise Syndrome" where they meet a race that looks Native American?
It appears that Loki is very similar to DJT!!!
*******❤❤❤❤❤❤❤*******
And now his son Ron just said that he's an atheist.
I wonder how many people noticed the difference in their faces before he mentioned the difference.
3:15 "wildly emotional, and often committed to irrationally opposing points of view" social media described in one line.
This is from 1967.
OK.. This new cat on the Scene, Billy Strings, I would love for him to attempt this.
Fred your tank top yes your shorts . . . i'm afraid it's a no.Sorry babe and you're still cute to me 😘
Lazarus couldn't describe Hades/Sheol to Barabbas, but Barabbas has experienced it symbolically in the mines of Sicily
Ecclesiastes 9:5a "For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know nothing..."
This is the first episode I remember from my 6-year old self watching Star Trek. It struck me so hard, the reveal of what caused the hatred. This episode is probably the reason Star Trek has been a philosophy for me my whole life. It gave me some hope to hold on to.
An Israeli and a Palestinian running around on someone else's ship acting like fools
I love how both Spock and Kirk look equally confused during the "I am black on the right side" bit.
To call Roy Clark talented is an understatement. His musical versatility was absolutely unequaled. A privilege to be able to still see and hear his performances.
He's awesome ❤
Robbie Hagberg I think you should be able to get it done before you leave me and a half of the time I have a good night I'll be there in a few minutes and a large fry with a large fry with a little bit of cheese and a large fry with some of the apes and I can get a new one and I 😢😢😢😢😢❤❤❤❤😅😊😮😮😮 I will have it right after I get home around 5 00 to 2 00 to the fish and get
Little Touching Trivia: The song Roy plays at the start, Yesterday When I Was Young, was one of Mickey Mantle's favorite songs. It was said that Mickey never got through hearing the song without crying because it close to home. Many years before his death, Mickey made Roy promise that he would sing that song at Mickey's funeral, which Roy did in 1995.
nobody is gonna mention how the Ferrengi are basically a "space Jew" stereotype? I have to be the one to say it?
I'm with mr. white on right.
So is this blackface or whiteface?
yes
There are no words that can express how much I miss that man. The last President who truly knew what it was to fear the Lord Thy God.
I am Black on the right side !
I think Willie Love sung with them in the 1950s.
If it was only that simple, but racism is almost always justified by actual cultural differences.
No mixing,no synthesizer,no sound boards.just pure talent.
Separate Church and State!!!
A truly amazing talent !!
ivonne es la unica y verdadera batgirl por siempre RIP.
i need a miracle every day
Great scene from a great show. My favorite episode’s Win 1 For Felix
this episode is timeless. As long as there is senseless intolerance of any kind - racial, religious, ethnic, gender, class, etc., etc. - its message will never grow old.
y ou pretend y ou r culture isn't full of ha te.
Joker changes his pants from pink 1:27 to green 1:46.
Oh! That's funny. Never noticed that. Guess I was looking at something else.
Hampir tidak bisa dipercaya. Tahun itu model pakaian pantai yang dikenakan Yvonne tidak kalah modis dengan yang sekarang.
Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me.
❤ JESUS IS LOVE ❤
I love Roy Clark he's such a great entertainer
Never gets old. Talent is timeless!
H a very enjoyed Roy's work for 60 years.❤❤❤
That poor guitar. Roy spanked it then said "Who's your Daddy."?
This episode mentions something very important: Due Process. Everyone has a right to face their accuser in a court of law.
Leave it to pedantic Spock to "mansplain" it to Bele: " *wildy* emotional, often committed to *irrationally* opposing points of view"😆 Kirk chimes in with his usual European-like paternalism: "Maybe he can change. Maybe he _wants_ to change" ... like the oppressed Lokai is the one who needs to change? In order to cater to his oppressor, Bele?🤔
It's a shame that Batgirl never really got a chance in a movie adaptation. (1997 doesn't really count.)
Agreed! Alicia Silverstone has got nothing on Yvonne Craig!
I grew up in metal. Was 40 when I first saw this. Actually, I just CAME from a video where Randy Rhodes was getting tributed, and said, "You GOTTA see this". Randy just didn't hit THIS level of skill. He had potential to.... But Roy, rest his soul, was the best ever imho.
Until a friend showed me this clip of roy clark magnificent finger work on this song I never knew he was one of the greatest guitarist
At the end, Oscar says to Felix, "Are you happy? He finally played Bach for you."
I Love the fact that the cast went out of character, and became enthralled with Roy Clark playing his innate musical style and ability.
They were eating cotton. Idiots
Cite this episode when people decry modern Trek as "woke". Trek was always "woke". Discovery though, is trash and barely trek.
